Many schools say that they are the best. Well if you think about that statement it is unsustainable.
So, what should you consider before deciding upon a driving school.
Many schools use trainee instructors.
Trainee instructors are working towards their final examination. They should be regularly supervised or should undertake regular refresher training whilst out practicing with pupils. The schools may not tell you that the instructor is a trainee but you will be able to tell by the licence which must be displayed on the windscreen whilst giving instruction. If no licence is displayed ask to see it, who knows, maybe the intructor is not even a trainee and is giving illegal instruction.

Each will be stamped with expiry date on the outside and include a photograph of the instructor on the inside.
Many schools will ask you to sign there Terms and Conditions, make sure you read before you sign. They could mean you paying out for lots of lessons you don't have. I don't ask you to read and sign ANY small print. Just want to pass your test, that's all I ask!
With VSM you will be driving the latest model car, please ask the age of the car you will be driving with another school. The older the car the more difficult learning will be. If the instructor or school are not investing in new cars then maybe they will not show you the same committment.
If you visit other schools websites you may notice that a proportion of the site is given over to the training of driving instructors. You should be aware that this is a very lucrative business which will make the school more money than training you, the learner driver. They may use trainee instructors to teach you but will not offer to do so at reduced rates.
Although I offer training to potential driving instructors please note that I do not allow them to teach pupils. All training of instructors is carried out on a one-to-one basis with no teaching of learner drivers.
