Personal Profile
From the day you start out as a learner you will be shown practical and theory points of interest to help you learn quickly and safely. After a while you will be ready to sit your theory examination then further lessons will follow to develop your skill and confidence as a driver. When we decide you are ready for your test you will visit the test centre of your choice and hopefully convert you provisional licence into a full licence. Good luck!
My name is Alan Valentine, I started my own, personally run driving school in 2006.
I am fully qualified as an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor).
I became an instructor as I was concerned at the declining standard of driving in this country and felt that I had the experience and the expertise to train drivers to a level at which they would be safe and considerate drivers. I also believe that they gain the confidence to be able to deal with today's congested roads and inconsiderate drivers.
I offer a reliable, trustworthy and professional service to my customers. You will never be asked to drive where you do not feel comfortable and safe. By building your confidence and skill at your pace you will achieve your result sooner than by rushing your learning and taking 'short cuts'. I will offer you total support and guidance throughout your driving course. We will act as a team to help you develop your driving ability.
Prior to becoming a driving instructor I had worked for over 30 years as an engineer within the utilities industry. I have extensive experience of training and assessments of all ages and abilities which I believed I could put to good use in the training of all ages of drivers.
I passed my driving test in 1969 and have driven a variety of vehicles well over 600,000 miles. I have been blameworthy accident free for over 25 years. I have a points free licence. I try to instil these principals into my pupils.
Please ring to discuss your driving needs and I will do all I can to help you achieve your goal.
